MAURICEVILLE

WOMEN’S DIVISION I MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS ("Times-Age” Special.) Mrs Cheetham presided over a very good attendance of members at the meeting of the Mauriceville-Ihuraua branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union held at the home of Mrs Childs, Mauriceville. Final arrangements were made for the “White Elephant” shop day. The secretary stated that the present position of candidates in the “Kiddy Carnival” is: Ihuraua, East, West, Mangamahoe. Miss M. E. Dagg won Mrs R. Dagg’s trophy and Mrs D. Brunton the best bloom competition. The sum of £1 Is was donated to the Makogai Leper Fund. Fourteen flannel undershirts and one home-spun seaman’s jersey were handed in for the Mercantile Marine.
