LANSDOWNE SCHOOL

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. RE-SEALING OF PLAYING AREA. The monthly meeting of the Lansdowne School Committee was held last evening, there being present: Messrs A. V. Faulknor (chairman), Donovan, Long, Mackay, Jarvis and the acting headmaster, Mr H. M. Smith, was also present. Apologies for absence were ■received from Messrs Dagg and McGregor. The acting head teacher reported that the roll number was 259 and that the attendance of the children was good. The grounds were in good order and receiving regular attention. The preparation of a cricket pitch is to be put in hand as soon as possible. Arrangements have been made for the re-sealing of the girls’ playing area and it is hoped to commence this work at an early date.
