The entertainment, “A Page From the Past,” in a typical Maori setting, portrays in song and story an eventful day in the tribal history of the Wairarapa. Told by Mr J. F. Thompson, the story will be enacted by the Papawai Concert Party, direct descendants of the actual participants in those stirring adventures. Beautiful Maori melodies and realistic hakas make this scene an outstanding contribution to the programme which is to be presented tomorrow evening for the purpose of raising money for the Soldiers’ Parcel Fund. ( TOWN HALL “MOONLIGHT IN BALI.” There will be presented tonight the outstanding comedy-drama, “Moonlight in Bali,” featuring Madeleine Carroll, Allan- Jones, Fred Mac Murray and Akim Tamiroff. Furious fun and entrancing romance will be found in the picture.
