A GREAT OPPORTUNITY
Every voter in New Zealand has a great opportunity on election day to strike a blow for personal Liberty. Reared under conditions of freedom, our people must be careful to protect their heritage.
. Voting is an individual responsibility —it cannot be left to the other fellow. It is not enough to listen to candidates talk about the issues involved—every voter must express his or her own convictions on the ballot paper. This is specially important so far as the Licensing Referendum is concerned. On this question the future of individual liberty is at stake. There is the possibility that some electors may feel that it is not necessary to record their votes on this issue. They may feel that the large majorities for Continuance in the past may have disposed of the question. That is not so, and it is important that all electors who prize individual liberty should register their votes for Continuance. All the world has rejected prohibition, which is an acknowledged universal failure. New Zealanders should hold fast to Liberty by voting Continuance. Strike out the two bottom lines.—Advt.
