OBITUARY
MRS G. MORRIS. The death occurred in the Masterton Hospital on Saturday night of Mrs Charlotte Morris, widow of the late Mi' George Morris, of Masterton. The late Mrs Morris, who was in her 81st year, was born in England and came to New Zealand 47 years ago. She was an active member of the Masterton Y.M.C.A. and of the Methodist Church. Her husband predeceased her over 12 years ago. She is survived bv two sons, Messrs R. W. Henson (Martinborough) and C. Morris (serving overseas with the New Zealand Forces), besides a brother, Mr F. Henson (Masterton), and seven grandchildren. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the Chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service Ltd., following a service at 2 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery. MRS T. McNAMARA. The death occurred yesterday in the Masterton Hospital of Mrs Elizabeth McNamara, wife of Mr Thomas McNamara, of 2 Hope Street, Masterton. The late Mrs McNamara, who was born in Bootle, England, 59 years ago, had been in New Zealand for 29 years, coming here with her husband and family. She was a member of the women's section of the Labour Party. She was admitted to the Masterton Hospital on Friday. A husband, three sons and five daughters are left to mourn their loss. Two sons are overseas—one is serving with the forces and the other is a pri-soner-of-war. The third son is- a member of the R.N.Z.A.F. in New Zealand. The daughters are Mcsdames E. Anderton (Huntly), R. Pinkley (Thames), R. Buckingham (Wellington), and Misses Shirley and Bernice McNamara (Masterton). There are five grandchildren. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving St Patrick’s Church, following a service at 3 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
