HOUSING PROBLEM
DEMANDS NEW APPROACH The Fraser Government has absolutely failed to solve the housing problem. It has spent £23,000,000 in building 15,000 houses—and the shortage is as great as ever. The Fraser Government is hampered by antiquated ideas, lack of broad planning, worship of State ownership and control. The National Party’s housing plan is based on one idea—to provide a home for every family. It plans for: — New housing centres on outskirts of cities and towns — Restoration of private home ing25,000 extra men building houses — Houses to own or to rent — Security of tenure for State tenants with the right to purchase their homes if desired —■ 90 per cent of cost provided—loo per cent for service men. The National Party’s housing plan will be the basis of the post-war “New Order” for New Zealand. Help to make New Zealand a real “Land of Opportunity” —a country of Happy Homes —by voting National. —Advt.
