REHABILITATION IN ACTION
“There is nothing within oui” means and the bounds of commonsense,” said the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Peter Fraser, “that we can do for these men that wo ought not to do.” That promise is being lived up to. Today, when 10,000 men have returned from overseas we find £300,000 has been paid cut in loans for houses, £230.000 in finance for farms and £71,000 in furniture loans. The Labour Government’s trade-training schemes are in full swing and university studies are being made available to returned service men. The citizen, as well as the soldier, has learned to rely on Labour’s word. They know that the Labour Government will continue to give the ex-service men the square deal they have deserved. To ensure there is no repetition of the mistakes that happened after the last war —VOTE LABOUR AGAIN—Advt.
