KOPUARANGA
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE DEMONSTRATION OF NEEDLEWEAVING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Kopuaranga Women’s Institute was held in the Kopuaranga Hall yesterday afternoon. Mr W. J. Cottle presided. A “bring and buy” stall realised £l, which will be allocated to the Makogai Leper Fund. Mrs Wright reported that 17 facecloths had been forwarded to the Country Districts Red Cross SubBranch. Miss M Cottle offered to donate the seed for the potato competition this year. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesess, Mesdames A. B. Cottle and E. C. Cottle. Miss Budd gave an interesting demonstration on needle-weaving, for which she was accorded a vote of thanks. The October meeting will be held at Mrs R. Miller’s residence. The competitions resulted: Humorous necklace, Mrs Wright 1, Mrs Hensen 2, Mrs W. J. Cottle 3; best bloom, Miss Budd 1. Mrs Cottle 2, ivirs Wright 3.
