SOUTH FEATHERSTON
EUCHRE PARTY & DANCE WAR SERVICE COMMITTEE. (“Times- Age” Special.) There was a large attendance at the fortnightly euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall by the War Service Committee. Mr T. Bay’s Orchestra provided the music and much appreciated extras were played by Mr Lloyd Mclntosh. Mr H. Graham was M.C. , The Monte Carlo- waltzes were won by Miss June White and partner and Miss P. Cole and partner. The card winners were as follows: — Ladies: Mrs Fairbrother, 1; Mrs Allen, 2. Men: Mr A. Gain, 1; Mr Thompson, 2. A cushion donated by Mrs P. AWilton was won by Miss Noeline Wilton. Supper was served by a ladies’ committee. Personal Items. Miss June White, of Palmerston North, is staying with her aunt, Mrs Willis, of'South Featherston. Pte. Myrene Dick was a recent visitor to South Featherston. Pte. and Mrs Bell are visiting Wellington. Miss L. Webster, of Masterton, is the guest of Mrs D. G. Robertson.
