NICOBAR ISLANDS
ATTACKED BY AMERICAN BOMBERS DOCKS AND BUILDINGS DAMAGED. ROUND TRIP OF 2,000 MILES. LONDON, September 5. American Liberator bombers based in India, made a round trip of 2000 miles, most of the way across the sea, to attack targets in the Nicobar Islands in the Indian Ocean. An American communique states that the results were excellent. Direct hits were observed on the docks and nearby buildings.
