Mrs Maurice Neale, of Riccarton, is visiting her sister, Mrs W. Drury, Waingawa. Miss O'Hara Smith, Masterton, has returned home after having visited Auckland. Mrs W. J. Spackman and Miss A.,. Graham, of Masterton, are spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs R. Fell, Cole Street, Masterton, who had been staying at Paraparaumu Beach, has returned home. Miss Barbara Perry and Mrs Unwin, Rongomai, are the guests of Mrs P. W. Dixon, Renall Street, Masterton. An old resident of the Hutt Valley, Mrs Lily Edna August, wife of Mr John S. August, died at her residence, No. 10 White’s Line West, on Friday last, at the age of 79 years. She leaves five sons, Messrs Ernest, William, Herbert, John, and Sydney August. The many friends of the Rev A. C. Lane will be pleased to learn that his condition has shown an improvement. Mr Lane was admitted to the Masterton Hospital on Friday due to a fall in the Regent Theatre prior to the service of intercession.
