ST. LUKE’S CHURCH MEETING OF LADIES’ GUILD. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of St Luke's Ladies’ Guild was held in the Parish Hall yesterday afternoon. Mrs A. York presided over a good attendance of members. Members stood in silence for a few moments in sympathy with Mrs Wiggins, who had recently suffered a bereavement. Mrs York welcomed Mrs E. Graham, of Raumati. Members brought along fruit for a fruit salad stall for the All Nations Fair. Members were asked to bring some article for the A.D.T. stall. The church brass cleaning for the month of September would be undertaken by Mesdames York and Blissett. The hostesses were Mrs F. Wood and Miss Tate. Personal items. Mrs Pasche and the two Misses Pasche, who have been the guests of Mrs A. Haigh, Humphries Street, returned to Wellington today. Mrs E. Graham, of Raumati, who has been the guest of Mrs W. Wiggins, Kuratawhiti Street, returned home otday. Mr E. Thomas, of Island Bay, paid a short visit to Greytown this week. Mr and Mrs Loris Duff, of Taihape, returned home today after spending a holiday with Mrs Duff, Senior, Main Street. TOWN HALL “LOUISIANA. PURCHASE.” At the matinee tomorrow afternoon and again in the evening, there will be shown the brilliant musical comedy, “Louisiana Purchase,” presented in technicoiour, with Bob Hope, Zorina, and Victor Moore in the leading roles.
