GREYTOWN
CROQUET CLUB MEETING O? MEMBERS. (“Times-Age" Special.) The Greytown. Ladies’ Croquet Club held a meeting yesterday afternoon, when Mrs H. G. Carter presided over a good attendance of members. It was decided that a letter of sympathy be sent to Miss Udy, who has recently suffered a bereavement. Members stood in silence for a few moments as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Mrs Hodge, a one-time valued member of the Croquet Club. It was decided to make a levy of # ten shillings on each member to augment the general funds. The lawns have been top-dressed and promise to be good for the coming season. Mrs Carter was thanked for the use of her room for the meeting. Hospital Staff Dance. The members of the Greytown Hospital staff are making every effort to ensure the success of their dance which will take place on Friday night.. The proceeds will be in aid of the Prisoner of War Fund. TOWN HALL NEW PROGRAMME. An entirely new programme will be shown tomorrow night.
