WEDDING
SHROUDER—ROLLO The Lansdowne Presbyterian Church, Masterton, was beautifully decorated with pink and white japonica and cherry blossom for the recent marriage of Edna Fanny, third daughter of Mr T. R. Rollo, Masterton. and Ronald Gordon, only son of Mr and Mrs J. C. Shrouder, of Waipukurau. The Rev McNeur officiated, and Miss Margaret McNeur presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked charming in a trained gown of white chenille georgette. Her tulle veil, kindly lent by a friend, fell softly from a halo of velvet orchids, and she carried a shower bouquet of winter roses, camelias, hyacinths and maiden hair fern.
The bride was attended by her sister Joan, who wore a powder blue frock of ripple georgette, and carried a bouquet of pink camelias and blue hyacinths with a matching spray in her hair.
Aircraftman John Patterson, of Wanganui, attended the bridegroom. Mr Rod Rollo and Aircraftman Herbert Claridge of Dunedin acted as ushers. A reception was held later at the Savage Club rooms the guests being received by Mrs A. L. Woodd. sister of the bride, assisted by Mrs J. C. Shroudcr. Mrs Woodd was attired in a black and white check suit trimmed with black fur and she wore a shoulder spray of blue and white flowers. Mrs Shrouder’s ensemble was of navy, trimmed with white, and a shoulder spray of red was worn. Later, when Aircraftman and Mrs R. G. Shrouder left for the south, the bride travelled in a teal blue tailored suit with tan accessories.
