LOST SUBMARINE
SINKING ANNOUNCED BY ITALIANS. 46 OFFICERS AND MEN TAKEN PRISONER. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) RUGBY, August 29. Today’s Italian communique says the British submarine Saracen (whose loss was announced by the Admiralty yesterday) was sunk on August 14 by an Italian corvette, and that five officers, including the commander, and 41 men were taken prisoner.
