Archangel lumberjacks are stacking thousands of miles of timber in excess of plan for the restoration of Kharkov and Stalingrad, “Soviet War News" reports. The February limber cutting plan was exceeded by GOO,OOO roubles' worth. The people of the region have collected over 60 million roubles for tanks and planes.. The fishing plan has been overfulfilled and the collective farms have undertaken to sow 37,000 acres in excess of plan. A secret report from Brest says that the accuracy with which the R.A.F. bomb the defence works of the port arouses the greatest admiration. But civilian homes are hit. It has been noted that these hits occur at the end of raids, when the antiaircraft guns are no longer firing. The conclusion drawn by the French is that civilian houses are bombed by Germans for obvious reasons.
