WEDDING

SCOTT—COPP. A quiet but very pretty wedding took place at the Methodist Parsonage on Saturday when Dorothy, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs S. Copp, of Elizabeth Street, Masterton, was married to Richard John Scott, of the Second N.Z.E.F. and on furlough from the Middle East, younger son of Mr G. J. Scott, Christchurch, and the late Mrs Scott, formerly of Dannevirke. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a becoming forest-green frock with hat to match and a lemon coloured shoulder spray. Mrs H. Stewart, who was matron-of-honour, was attired in a floral frock with a shoulder spray of orange coloured tints. Mr Russell Copp (brother of the bride) was best man. Close friends and relatives were entertained at a reception held at the home of the bride’s parents, where Mrs Copp received the guests wearing an Air Force blue costume and toning shoulder spray. When Mr and Mrs Scott left for the north the bride added a cinnamon brown coat, with gloves and accessories to tone, to her wedding attire. On Friday night the executive of the Masterton County Council, which the bride is a member, made a presentation to Miss Copp. In making the presentation the County Clerk, Mr J. C. D. Mackley, expressed the good wishes of the staff.
