(Received This Day, 1.2 p.m.) RUGBY, August 22 Broadcasting from Quebec tonight, Mrs Roosevelt paid a striking tribute to Russia’s heroism and endurance. Speaking on behalf of the aid to Russia flag days, which are starting in London this week, she said we must never forget, nor were we likely to forget, the heroic part played by ahe people of Russia in the tremendous struggle to prevent civilisation being overwhelmed by new forces of darkness.
