MASTERTON CLUB. CHAMPION PAIRS CONTEST. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club’s champion pairs competition has been narrowed down to four pairs and this week’s play will find the finalists. The following are the fixtures for these games and the progressive pairs:— Tuesday, 7 p.m., No. 1, Gleeson and Walker (s) v. J. Edwards and Hendry (s); No. 2, Onion and Hearps (s) v. E. Gray and McFarlane (s); 8 p.m., No. 1, McErlich and A. Gray (s) v. Stears and Freeman (s); No. 2, Rossitter and Knowles (s) v. Morgan and Roff (s); 9 p.m., the winner of the Gray-Freeman game v. Lennie and E. Mooney (s); No. 2, McNab and Henson (s) v. Palmer and Edwards (s). Thursday, 7 p.m.. No. 1. McNab and Hearps (s) v. Stears and F. Mooney (s); No. 2, Rossitter and A. Gray (s) v. Duff and Knowles (s); 8 p.m.. No. 1. Duff and Freeman (s) v. Stewart and Walker (s); No. 2, Bacon and Ihaka (s) v. McErlich and Hearps (s); 9 p.m., Judd and Hendry (s) v. Cliff and E. Mooney (s); No. 2, Park Ferns challenge: Palmei’ and Freeman (s) v. Stewart and Edwards (s).
