MAURICEVILLE DAIRY COMPANY ANNUAL MEETING. DRY SEASON AFFECTS OUTPUT Thirty shareholders were present at the annual meeting of the Mauriceville Dairy Company, held yesterday afternoon. The chairman, Mr V. K. Lemberg, presided. A motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of a late director, Mr A. V. Madsen, and with Mrs H. Trass in the death of her husband, a former director of the company. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet Mr Lemberg said the dry season had had an adverse effect on production and some suppliers had not returned from cheese production. The output was 833 tons for the past year against the 1,000 tons anticipated. Mr Lemberg referred to the Government increased pay-out of a penny for the ensuing year. There were four vacancies for the directorate and the election resulted in the appointment of Messrs A. Thorby (Hastwells), A. Forsberg, V. K. Lemberg and J. E. Osborne. Mr Alex Keith was re-elected auditor at the same remuneration as last year and the directors' remuneration was also fixed at last year's rate. A dividend of five per cent on paid up capital was declared. Votes of thanks were accorded the factory and office staff and to a retiring director, Mr S. J. Clarke. At a subsequent meeting of directors Mr Lemberg was re-elected chairman.
