GREYTOWN
LATE MRS KNOWLES=SMITH (“Times-Age” Special.) The funeral of the late Mrs Daisy Knowles-Smith took place at Greytown yesterday afternoon. The service at the Methodist Church was largely attended. Mrs M. J. Greathead presided at the organ, and the Greytown League of Mothers choir was in attendance. Mr Douglas Green, of Wellington, played the funeral march. The Revs. Keal, Woodford and White took the service and were assisted by the ministers from Carterton, Masterton and Woodville. The pall-bearers were: Messrs B. Petherick, C. Dalbeth, J. Walker. H. J. Farley, R. Beu and W. G. K. Wiggins. Among other floral tributes were the followingiThe committee of the Greytown Girl Guides; No. 1 Company of the Greytown Girl Guides, the Greytown League of Mothers, the Woodville Methodist Church, the directors of the Nation newspaper, the Greytown Pre'sbyterian Church, the Greytown Masonic Lodge, the Women's Division ol' the Farmers’ Union, the Carterton Methodist Church and Featherston Methodist friends. TOWN HALL “BAHAMA PASSAGE.” At the Town Hall tomorrow afternoon and evening there will be presented the excellent drama, “Bahama Passage,” starring Madeleine Carroll and Stirling Hayden.
