The , wealth of the Holy Land in its fertility; the fabulous wealth of the Dead Sea ■ salts and the all important oil from ; Irak, were the treasures that excited . the conquest aims of -the dictators, she • said. The Providence of God was ; shown in that through various circum- < stances, and Russia's entry into the . war, Mussolini and Hitler have not : been able to capture this oil supply j which had enabled the Allies to bo , victorious in the Mediterranean. The ( old Russian dream of owning all territories through to the Indian Ocean yet , remained alive and will, according to j the Bible, be one cause of the foretold War of Armageddon. The lecturer < pointed out that many of Britain’s lead- ( ers were studying the prophetic plan of ■ God and finding it a complete guide to the chaos today and to the future. ■ Next Thursday's subject will deal ■ with the fall of Germany and the temporary fall of Italy, from the prophet l visions concerning Armageddon and the Return of the Messiah.
