QUEBEC ASSEMBLY
ONE OF THE GREATEST IN HISTORY ROOSEVELT TO VISIT OTTAWA. MAY ADDRESS CANADIAN PARLIAMENT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) RUGBY, August 18. It is officially announced that the British Foreign Secretary (Mr Eden), Mr Brendan Bracken (Minister of Information) and Sir Alexander Cadogan, Permanent Head of the Foreign Office, have arrived in Quebec. An official spokesman in Quebec said that today's conference would become one of the greatest military assemblies in history. High officers representing all the war theatres are now there.
According to an Ottawa message, 'President Roosevelt has accepted an invitation from Mr Mackenzie King to visit Ottawa at the conclusion of the Quebec conferences. It is believed the Canadian Parliament will convene to hear an address by the President.
