GATHERING IN ST. PATRICK'S HALL.
SOLDIERS ON LEAVE FROM MIDDLE EAST.
A pleasant social evening was held at St. Patrick’s Hall last evening, when occasion iyas taken to welcome home the boys of St. Patrick’s Parish who have been invalided home, and those who are home on furlough. The Rev. Father N. Moore was in the chair, and Mr W. Orange, on behalf of the parishioners, extended a welcome to the men. Those present were Mr D. Roys, Lieutenant Ron Johnston, Lieutenant S. Deans. Ab. Seaman P. Doyle, L.A.C. P. Flynn and Flight Sgt. KirkBurnand. Lieutenant Johnston replied on behalf of the men.
Those contributing items were the Girls' Glee Club, Misses Ola Curry, Norah Doyle, Marjorie Hourigan, Beulah Hirst, Elizabeth Keisenberg, Joan McLaren, J. Bouzaid, Mesdames Stephenson and Brooker, Rev. Dr. Gillhooly, Mr James Gallagher, Sergeant John Magner, U.S.M.C., and Flight Sergeant Kirk-Burnnand.
The accompaniments were played by Misses Nee, Bouzaid, Mrs A. L. Paterson, and Flight Sergeant Kirk-Burn-nand.
