INTERHOUSE AFFAIRS.

SUCCESSFUL DANCE LAST NIGHT, “EVENING IN PARIS BALLET.” There was a splendid attendance at the dance held in the Masonic Hall. Mastertoll, last night by the Wairarapa Interhouse Association. A special feature was a ballet presented by Interhouse girls entitled “An Evening in Paris.” The members of the ballet, Misses Valmai Price. Betty Jones, Joan Naan and Ola Curry, gave a very fine and finished performance and they had to respond to an ' encore. Miss Mollie Iveson played the music for the ballet. Messrs J. Bruce and L. Askew kept proceedings moving with a swing to music supplied by Mrs Ashton's Orchestra. Extras were played by Misses Douglas and Barber. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss H. Douglas and Mr Sergentson. Supper was served by Borthwick's indoor basketball team. The next dance will be held on August 27 when a special attraction will be an exhibition of ballroom dancing. Cn Monday night the association’s indoor basketball championship finals will ,be played and on the following Monday (August 23)* the season will be wound up with challenge matches and the presentation of cups and certificates. Teams intending to issue challenges must communicate with the secretary, Mr G. Davis by next Wednesday.
