MASTERTON CLUB. CHAMPION PAIRS CONTEST. The champion pairs competition' in connection with the Masterton Indoor Bowling Club is nearing completion. Only five pairs remain in, with Stears and Freeman (s) and Edwards and Hendry (s) having two lives each. The results of this week’s play are as follows:—Walker 14 beat Henson 8, Freeman 18 beat Edwards 8, Hendry 9 beai McFarlane 8, E. Mooney 13 beat Walker 12, Hendry 22 beat F. Mooney 7. Park Ferns challenge: Palmer and Freeman 27 beat Rossiter and Henson.
