WOMEN IN THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES.

OTTAWA, July 30.

The vzomen of Canada’s Armed Forces are getting more pay. Hitherto their basic rate has been 66 2-3 per cent of men’s pay but now it is eighty pei’ cent. Here are a few of the rates. A private in the Canadian Women's Army Corps, under the new scales, gets on enlistment one dollar 5 cents a day against 90 cents under the old rate. Her enlistment rate may be increased to one dollar 10 cents after four months and to one dollar 20 cents after six months of efficient service. A lieutenant gets 4 dollars a day under the new rate against 3 dollars 35 cents under the old rate.
