MORE PLANES

THAN FOR MONTHS PAST

USED IN LATEST RAIDS ON BRITAIN.

PLYMOUTH & BOURNEMOUTH NAMED AS TARGETS.

(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright)

(Received This Day, 12.20. p.m.) LONDON, August 12

The Luftwaffe used more planes in its raid against Britain last night than it had used for some months past. About twenty aircraft flew over the south-west coast and a similar number over the south coast.

The German news agency stated that the towns raided were Plymouth and Bournemouth, and added that heavy bombers dropped a large number of high-explosive and incendiary bombs on military targets in both towns.
