GREYTOWN
LEAGUE OF MOTHERS ANNUAL METING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Greylown League of Mothers was held in the Parish Hall yesterday afternoon when Mrs Smallwood presided over a good attendance of members. Mesdamcs Brooking, Smart and Matthews were enrolled as new members. A letter was received from the Merchant Navy secretary, Wellington, thanking members for cakes sent last month. Members are reminded that the next parcel of cakes will be sent next Wednesday. Mrs Coleman has offered to pack the same. Mrs E. Maddisen gave the thought for the month.
At the next meeting the League's birthday will be celebrated. The choir rendered two glees, and Mesdamcs Eccles, Brooking and M. Greathead a trio.

Mrs Smallwood thanked Mrs Wiggins for her .excellent report which covered the year's work of the branch. She also thanked those who had helped to make a successful year for the League. Mrs Knell (treasurer), presented a satisfactory balance sheet. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs T. N. Smallwood; vice-presidents, Mesdames AW. Horton, E. Maddison, A. Haigh and A. H. Bull; secretary, Mrs W. G. K. Wiggins; treasurer, Mrs W. J. Knell; committee, Mesdames T. On, Te Whaiti, W. Everett, Knowles-Smith, York, Hay, Ross, Drysdale and A. Nichols, with power to add; magazine secretary, Mrs M. Greathead; pianiste, Mrs H. G. Carter; choir leader, Mrs A. York.
Mrs Eensemen asked to be excused from the duties of sick-hospital visitor, which she had carried out for so many years. It was decided that Mrs E. Drysdale be asked to take Mrs Bensem-en’s place. Mrs W. J. Knell was asked to arrange about sending a Christmas cake to Lady Alice Ferguson. The hostesses were Mesdames W. G. K. Wiggin J, Coleman and Vinsen. Personal Items. Potty Officer W. Bensemcn and Mrs Eensemen, of Auckland, are on a visit to Greytown. They are the guests of Mrs C. Bensemen, Moroa. Mrs E. Richards and Miss D. Richards, of McMaster Street, are on a short visit to Wellington. TOWN HALL . TWO BIG FEATURES. There will be two big features on the programme tomorrow night. “The Get Away,” is a sensational drama featuring Robert Stirling and Charles Winninger, and “The Strange Case of Doctor RX,” an exciting crime story with Lionel Atwill and Patrie Knowles in the chief roles.
