PANIC IN BUCHAREST

ANTONESCU’S POSITION.

BECOMING MORE ACUTE EVERY DAY.

(Bv Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, August 10.

A panic has started in Bucharest because of the situation on the Russian front, says the Exchange Telegraph’s Istanbul correspondent, quoting information from the Rumanian capital. He adds that the Rumanian troops who hitherto were fighting on the Russian front have been withdrawn to Bessarabia. Bucharest has been partly evacuated, and the King and Queen Mother have left the city. The position of General Antonescu, the Chief of State, is becoming more acute every day.
