WORK OF WOMEN'S PATRIOTIC

COMMITTEE.

PAST MONTH’S ACTIVITIES.

The secretary of the Masterton Women’s Patriotic Committee reported at the monhly meeting that, during the month the following knitted goods were sent to Wellington from the zone: —348 balaclavas. 276 scarves. 384 pairs of mittens. 48 pairs of sox and 208 hussifs. In addition, 188 pairs of mittens made from old sox by the Townswomen's and Methodist Guilds were sent to Waiouru. and 2010 parcels for overseas were packed and sent to Wellington.

The committee wishes to thank all who have knitted woollen comforts for soldiers overseas, and to the women of district patriotic committees who camo to Masterton to assist in packing soldiers' parcels.
