COLLEGE SPORT
RUGBY AND BASKETBALL MATCHES. THE WAIRARAPA TEAMS. An interchange of Rugby teams will take place tomorrow between Wairarapa and Rongotai Colleges. The Wairarapa first fifteen will proceed to Wellington to play Rongotai College, while the latter’s second fifteen will visit Masterton to play a match here. Both games will be played tomorrow afternoon.
The Wairarapa College basketball representatives will also proceed to Wellington tomorrow to take part in the quadrangular tourney at Lower Hutt on Thursday. The Wairarapa College teams are as follow:—
First Fifteen: Hemi, Price, Baird, McDonald, Booth, Bond, O’Brien, Herrick, Stuart, Jacobsen, Rippon, Lyver, Wilton, Sherborne, Geary, Daniell, Robinson.
Second Fifteen: Stewart, Norman, Sutherland, Keen, McPherson, Bannister, Gair, Renall, McGregor, Rigg, Desmond, Skeet, Johnson, Donald, Van' Praagh. Basketball: Dorothy Heckler, Barbara Durward, Violet Hayes, Mary Stewart, Margaret Blatchford, Kathleen Wiltshire, Gertrude Clare, Joan Rutherford, May Wellington; emergencies, Dorothy Macdonald, Margaret McCahnont, Maureen Cruickshank.
