ONE LICHT HOME

IDEA CATCHES ON. This is an idea which is earnestly commended to the public in the interests of electric power conservation. It is found that many householders purposely leave one or more lights burning in the hall or the passage, and that lights in other rooms are sometimes inadvertently left burning. Today when the load on power stations has reached critical proportions, this wastage is criminal. The extra calls for power made by military camps and hospitals, and also by new factories and other war establishments, must be met. If the civilian population will voluntarily conserve power, then rationing can be avoided. So make your home a one-light home every night. Keep the family in one room, and insist that all other lights are switched off until bedtime.

Unless any electric appliance is really needed —switch it off. —lssued by the Electricity Controller, Public Works Department.
