LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST COLD & CLOUDY. WITH PASSING SHOWERS. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate southerly winds, fresh in exposed positions. Weather cloudy and cold with occasional showers. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Little change. The Waingawa Sub-Station, P.W.D., reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperature, maximum 46.5, minimum 37; terrestrial, 31; sunshine, 24 minutes. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 5 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today.
