Native Pigeon Visits Masterton. A native pigeon was seen in the garden of Mr V. E. Donald, Lansdowne, on Wednesday, feeding on karamu berries. Mr Donald, by judicious planting of native trees, has transformed a gorse-ridden hillside into a fine area of native bush. The area in question provides an impressive example of what can be achieved in this direction andi its success can be judged by the presence of a forest-loving bird such as the native pigeon. Building Society.
