Optimist Club Meeting.
There was an attendance of twentyfour young men at the weekly meeting of the Masterton Optimist Club held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms last night. Mr C. W. Gaze presided. Enjoyable song and sheriff sessions were held following which Mr.C. J. Carle gave a brief talk. Next week a party from Sedgley Home will be guests of the club.
Red Cross Service Club. This week the American Red Cross Club in Masterton is holding two dances, one tonight and another on Friday. A “Truth and Consequences” show will be held on Saturday night and an informal tea dance on Sunday. The programme on Saturday will be a stateside radio show, with questions and consequences for the Marines and their partners who give the wrong answers. Both service men and girls are invited to participate in the opposing teams.
