LETTER OF APPRECIATION.

SENT TO MR C. W. GAZE

A group of Marines who were making use of the i'aciilties of the Masteiton Y.M.C.A. have written from tne United States to the former secretary, Mr C. W. Gaze, thanking him for the “unlimited co-operation” he gave them during their stay in Masterton. The letter stated: “We all realise the circumstance involving - service with a small town. It is rather dimcult for young men interested in sports to find a place for them to exercise. Men need recreation and through your help you have supplied the answer for service men coming to Masterton.’’ The letter stated that Mr Gaze's efforts to provide the wholesome environment enjoyed by the men would always be remembered. Sincere appreciation was expressed and Mr Gaze was extended good wishes for his future work.
