OUTSTANDING FILMS
TO BE SHOWN IN MASTERTON. • i The manager of the 20th Century Fox Film Corporation, Mr Frank Thompson, in an interview said that among outstanding films soon to be released through Amalgamated TheI •itres, Ltd., and to be shown at the State Theatre, Masterton, during the current year were: “The Immortal Sergeant” (John Brophy); “Tales of Manhattan” (produced by Boris Morris with one of the largest casts ever in one picture); “Black Swan” (in technicolour), a musical comedy; “Springtime in the Rockies,” a musical film in tochnicolour; “Song of the Islands”; “Thunder Birds” and “Marriage On Ice.”
Pictures also to be released through 20th Century Fox would be the Gaumont British pictures, “The Young Mr Pitt,” Noel Coward’s epic film “In Which We Serve” and Leslie Howard and David Niven in “The First of the Few.”
