STATE THEATRE
“CHEERS FOR MISS BISHOP.” Tonight there will be presented one of the finest pictures ever brought to the screen, “Cheers for Miss Bishop.” It tells the story of a woman with courage to live and love according to her heart. “Miss Bishop” braved the taunts of a world that whispered her name. “Miss Bishop” is considered to be the most vitally real heroine since “Stella Dallas.” It is a stirring emotional drama that will live long in the memory of picture patrons. The principal character is taken by Martha Scott. William Gargan, too, has an important role. Other roles are taken by Edmund Gwenn and Mary Anderson. There will also be shown a specially selected series of featurettes.
