HOMING PIGEONS

MASTERTON CLUB’S SHOW. SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITORS. The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club held a highly successful show on Saturday, when Mr W. Harding judged two classes of birds, namely, hen birds which had flown over 200 miles, and birds (cock or hen) that would make likely fliers. The results were as follow: Hens flown over 200 miles, W. Miller 1, A. Pinkney 2, Grant & Forrester 3, N. Gardner v.h.c., R. Haley h.c., Miss A. Miller c. Likely fliers: W. Miller 1 and 2, R. Stewart & Sons 3, Grant & Forrester v.h.c., W. Drury h.c., R. Stewart & Sons c. The winners in the points prize section are: R. Stewart & Sons, 69 points, 1; W. Miller, 53 points, 2; A. Pinkney, 51 points, 3. Next week the champion bird will be selected from birds which have gained first, second or third prizes. The judge will be Mr J. Stevens.
