WEDDING
BARBER—PHILPOTT. The marriage took place recently at St. Luke’s Church, Christchurch, of Lucy Ellen, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. L. Philpott. Christchurch, to S/Sgt. Frederick Edward Barber, U.S.M.C.. second son of Mrs Alice Barber and the late Mr W. F. Barber, Gould City, Michigan. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was attended by Miss Brenda Barnes, the duties of best man being carried out by Col. W. J. .Wright, U.S.M.C. The Rev I. L. Richards officiated. Staff Sergeant Barber and Mrs Barber are residing in Masterton.
