Speaking of the long association of the British and French in Canada, in an address to the Palmerston North Rotary Club, Mrs Lawrence Richardson, M.Sc., of Wellington, said the sharp corners were breaking down and there was a blending of colours and cultures. There were odd blendings, however, she said, as she had met a red-headed Indian of the name of McDonald who could only speak French.
