CARTERTON

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE WAIRARAPA REPRESENTATION AT GISBORNE. (“Times-Age” Special.) Four hundred and fifty Institutes will be represented at the North Island Women's Institute Conference at Gisborne. Delegates from fifteen of the Wairarapa Institutes and also the Federation delegate will leave by special train on Tuesday morning, connecting at Woodville with the special train from Palmerston North, on which will travel delegates from the northern Institutes and Federations. The election of Dominion president and six members for the Dominion executive will be an important dufy for delegates. The Wairarapa delegates will return on Friday, July 30, by special train. Personal Items,. Mr Percy Hodder, of Lincoln Road. Carterton, has found it necessary to enter the Masterton Hospital for treatment. Mrs F. Curry, of Frederick Street, South Carterton, is an inmate of the Masterton Hospital. Dance at Belvedere. A dance, the proceeds from which will be devoted to patriotic purposes, will be held in the Belvedere schoolroom tonight. REGENT THEATRE ATTRACTIVE FEATURES. Tonight there will be presented an attractive double feature programme. William Boyd and Andy Clyde will be seen in the excellent western drama, “Riders of the Timberline,” and Richard Cromwell and Rita Quigley have the chief roles in the exciting story, “Riot Squad.”
