COURSING
WAIRARAPA CLUB. RECORD ENTRIES FOR CUP. A meeting of the Wairarapa Coursing Club was held in the Masterton A. and P. Association’s rooms last evening when it was announced that, for the 64dog New Zealand Waterloo Cup, which is to be run at the Akura Plumpton on Saturday and Sunday, July 31 and August 1, 47 entries had been received —a record for the event. Late entries will be accepted up till Thursday next, and it is expected that the full number will contest the event. The meeting' will commence each day at 12.45 p.m., and the following officials have been appointed: Marshal, Mr J. H. Payton; judge, Mr L. M. Archer; slipper, Mr R. D. McEwen; slip steward, Mr W. L. Jensen; hare slippers, Messrs J. Hanley, T. Buick and J. Geary.
