MASTERTON STOCK SALE

FAT SHEEP PRICES HIGHER. There was a small attendance of buyers at today’s Masterton stock sale, when a yarding of 2000 sheep came forward. Prices for fats, although the quality was only medium, showed a considerable rise on last week’s values. Some early prices were: Medium fat wethers, 31s to 345; fat maiden ewes, 28s to 31s 9d; good fat ewes, 22s lOd; light fat ewes, just killable, 13s 7d to 15s.
