NYLON YARN

PRODUCTION IN CANADA. OTTAWA. Nylon; yarn is now coming into important production in a new Canadian plant and is available in place of silk for parachute production for the aimed services. Except by permit, however. no person may use any nylon yarn, or any material fabricated fiom nylon yarn, except in the manufacture of man-carrying parachutes for the armed forces. A year ago some nylon varn was imported into Canada from the United Slates and was used in the production of hosiery and other civilian products. Since then, however, none has been released from the United States plants for either Canadian or United States use except for direct war purposes.
