WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

RONGOKOKAKO MEETING. WINNERS OF COMPETITIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Rongokokako Women's Institute there was a good attendance. It was decided to join the N.Z. Crippled Children’s Society. Mrs Morriss, Senr., Mrs M. Morriss and Miss Ursula Payne donated articles which are to be sent to the Conference. A “box lecture” was demonstrated by Mrs W. J. O’Neil. The competitions for the month resulted as follows:—Felt work: Mrs Winter 1, Mrs Morriss, Senr., 2, Mrs S. Smith and Mrs J. Payne 3. Premier bloom: Mrs S .Smith 1, Mrs S. Malton 2, Mrs Morriss, Senr., 3. Three flowers: Mrs S. Smith 1. Mrs Morriss, Senr., 2, Mrs K. Falkner 3. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames J. Drysdale and S. Malton. The president thanked Mesdames J. P. Sigvertsen and Mason (Masterton.) for having judged the competitions.
