MUFTI ALLOWANCE
SCALE FOR WOMEN. SAME AS THAT FOR SERVICE MEN (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A statement that the graduated scale of mufti allowance fixed by War Cabinet for payment to discharged service men would also be paid to service women on discharge from the armed forces was made by the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, in reply to an inquiry last night. This scale, which provides for an allowance of £lO for six months’ service, increases by £2 10s for each additional month of service till the maximum allowance of £25 is reached on the completion of twelve months’ service The scale is as follows: —
6 months’ service £10 0 0 7 months' service £12 10 0 8 months’ service £15 0 0 9 months’ service £17 10 0 10 months’ service £20 0 0 11 months' service £22 10 0 12 months' service and over £25 0 0
