GREYTOWN
SOLDIERS RETURN A WARM WELCOME. ("Times-Age” Special.) Four Grey town members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force —Corporals R. Wright and J. Duffy, LanceCorporal H. Broughton and Gunner W. Duff —arrived home this morning by train. They were met at 'Woodside by the Mayor of Greytown, and the borough councillors, members of the R.S.A. and a large crowd ■of district residents. They were driven in motor cars to the Greytown railway station where they were accorded a warm welcome by the Mayor who expressed the hope that the men would be assisted in every possible way to enjoy their furlough. Mr Sheddon spoke on behalf of the R.S.A. and Mr J. F. Thompson for the Patriotic Committee. The men suitably acknowledged the welcome, and expressed appreciation for the parcels forwarded to them. Personal. Mr J. Samuels, R.N.Z.A.F.. and Mr N. Lowe, of Wellington, have been the guests of Mr and Mrs E. Richards, McMaster Street. TOWN HALL “SONS OF THE. SEA.” The programme tomorrow night will be headed by the thrilling story of the sea, “Sons of the Sea, in which the leading roles are taken by Michael Redgrave and Valerie Hobson.
