PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs Simmonds, Palmerston North, is the guest of her sister, Mrs G. Busch. Mr and Mrs C. Busch, Otaraia, have returned from a visit to the Nelson district. Mr Cookslc-y. who was visiting this district, has returned to Palmerston North. Among the recent visitors to this district and Messrs W. Sutherland, Kawhio. and G. Sutherland, Wellington. Mr and Miss Enoka, have returned to Wellington. Heavy Rain Experienced. Heavy rain was experienced throughout the district on Monday and the local rivers and streams arc in flood. There is no improvement in the conditions today, and serious flooding will result if the rain continues much longer. Slips are reported on some of the roads in the back country.
